Rutgers Establishes Anti-Corruption Institute

School of Public Affairs and Administration in Newark Establishes Rutgers Institute on Anti-Corruption Studies

Dr. Marc Holzer, dean of the School of Public Affairs and Administration at the Rutgers-Newark Campus announces the establishment of the Rutgers Institute on Anti-Corruption Studies (RIACS). RIACS will build a multi- disciplinary and multi-national network focusing on research, education, and course development on counter-corruption in government and non-profit organizations.

RIACS will draw on an international network of scholars and practitioners working in the field of corruption studies, and in particular on combating corruption in the public sector. The main purpose of RIACS is to develop a critical mass of associates who can exchange ideas. Participants will come together as opportunities arise to work collaboratively on projects and provide educational opportunities. RIACS is planning on activities such as a conference and workshop, and will announce them in the near future.

The RIACS website (https://riacs.newark.rutgers.edu) provides a variety of valuable resources, including journal articles, case studies, rankings and statistics, policy innovations, and toolkits on anti-corruption, as well as organizations, programs, courses, upcoming conferences and workshops engaged in anti-corruption studies in government and non-profit organizations.
