SECoPA 2012 is Three Months Away

SECoPA 2012, hosted by the South Florida Chapter of ASPA, is just around the corner.  The theme of this year’s conference is “PROMOTING A POSITIVE TRANSITION FOR THE PUBLIC SERVICE. Hope for the Future” and will include panels covering diverse topics such as Economic Policy, Disasters/Hazards/Emergency Management, Environmental Policy and Management, Ethics, Finance and Budgeting, Health Administration and Policy, Human Resource Management, International and Comparative Public Administration, Local Government Performance Management, Nonprofit Leadership and Management, Performance Management, Policy, Planning and Program Evaluation, Public Management and Organization Theory, Social Welfare Policy, Criminal Justice Administration, and Planning and Policy

A SECoPA conference features a diverse mix of academics, practitioners and pracademics from across the Southeast and the United States, and offers a comfortable, friendly forum for critical dialogue on important governance and policy issues, scholarly & practice-based exchanges and professional development & networking opportunities at a reasonable price.   We are expecting to have over 50 panels and over 200 panelists and the program is being drafted.
