Eighth Annual ICPA Promotes International Cooperation

More than 200 academic experts, public administrators, and private sector managers from 22 countries converged in Hyderabad, India, October 25-27 for the 8th annual International Conference on Public Administration (ICPA). Together, they discussed problems, new ideas, success and failures, explored the changes new innovation poses for public administrators, and promoted international cooperation.

The theme of the 2012 ICPA was New Frontiers in Public Administration: Practice and Theory. Conference focus areas included roles of governments and markets, human resources, security systems, ethics, budgets and fiscal management, IT, emergencies, governing urban and rural areas, international challenges and civil services reform.

Executive Director for the American Society for Public Administration, Antoinette A. Samuel, moderated and delivered opinions alongside other global scholars and leaders during the Symposium on the Status of Public Administration as an academic and research discipline.
