Rosenbaum Elected ASPA Vice President

Washington, DC–Allan Rosenbaum,a professor at Florida International University, has been elected
vice president of the American Society for
Public Administration (ASPA) and will become the Society’s president in 2014. Rosenbaum will officially assume
the office of vice president at ASPA’s Annual Conference in Las Vegas, NV, March 2-6, 2012.

At that time, Kuotsai “Tom” Liou, a professor at the University of Central Florida, will become president replacing Erik Bergrud, senior director, community and government relations for Park University, who will become immediate past president. Steve Condrey, chairman of the Federal Salary Council, will become president-elect. Newly elected National Council members will also assume their seats at the conference (see list below).

Rosenbaum has served ASPA on local, national and international levels and has extensive experience in both a university setting and public administration practice.

His professional experience includes senior positions in local, state and federal government and as a professor and dean at large state universities, as well as directing U.S. government funded democratic institution building projects in Africa and Latin America and working extensively with the United Nations.

Rosenbaum’s ASPA experience has included service as a National Council member, Chapter president, Miami National Conference Host Committee co-chairperson, member of numerous chapter and national committees and as the Society’s first international director.
